APPRENTICE TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION
Allometrics is an ISO 17025 accredited calibration company that sells, certifies, services, and repairs process instrumentation, weighing devices, controlled environments, measuring, and test equipment for laboratories in a wide range of industries. Allometrics is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our growing company.
A successful candidate must possess excellent writing, speaking, and communication skills. As well as exceptional organizational, customer service skills. Must have skills/inclinations in electronics, electrical, technical/mechanical aptitude. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications; such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Responsibilities of entry‐level position may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
‐ Provides calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair under the tutelage of field-qualified service technician.
‐ Support all equipment serviced by Allometrics (including various gravimetric, volumetric, pressure, temperature and electrical measuring devices, HEPA‐filtered devices, Biological Safety Cabinets, Clean Benches, Chemical Fume Hoods and Clean Rooms)
‐ Additional support services are to be provided as required.
‐ Lifting of various test equipment with weight ranges between 6 and 50 lbs.
‐ Pushing and pulling a tool cart up to a weight of 200 lbs.
‐ Technician must have the ability to lift 75 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs. overhead
‐ Extended periods of working overhead while standing on a ladder are sometimes necessary.
‐ Extensive driving in and around Texas/LA area from one customer location to another customer location.
‐ Minimum high school diploma or GED.
