Calibration and controlled environment services technician Job Opening

Allometrics is an ISO 17025 accredited calibration company that sells, certifies, services, and repairs process instrumentation, weighing devices, controlled environments, measuring, and test equipment for laboratories in a wide range of industries. Allometrics is seeking a Calibration and Controlled Environment Service Technician for our growing company.

The candidate must have good personal organization skills, be computer literate, and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Technical and/or mechanical aptitude is important. PMEL technicians are encouraged to apply as are graduates of technical colleges.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Support service operations by providing calibration and/or preventive maintenance of general laboratory and Process equipment.

‐  Repair of HEPA filtered devices, including Biological Safety Cabinets, Clean Benches, Chemical Fume Hoods, and Clean Rooms.

‐  Additional services are to be provided as trained for, including but not limited to Decontamination, Laboratory Equipment Repair and Calibration, Balance and Scale Calibration.

The ideal Candidate will have a background in one or more of the following:

‐ Metrology.

‐Electronics.

‐ Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

‐ Technical College graduate.

‐ Calibration or HVAC experience ‐ Mechanical aptitude.

‐ PMEL.

‐ NSF, or CETA Certified.

Job requirements:

‐ Lifting of various test equipment with weight ranges between 6 and 50 lbs.

‐ Pushing and pulling a tool cart up to a weight of 200 lbs.

‐ Technician must have the ability to lift 75 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs. overhead.

‐ Extended periods of working overhead while standing on a ladder are sometimes necessary.

‐ 100% Travel.

‐ Extensive driving in and around LA or TX area from one customer location to another customer location.
